12 But when he heard
it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a
physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what this
meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the
righteous, but sinners. Mat. 9:12 ASV
Spring of 2004, Michael Frye contacted Barnabas
about doing medical missions in Mexico. Apparently there is a group of
doctors (2 - paramedics, 3 doctors, dentist and hygienist) that have a heart
for missions and have been engaged in some mission work. The medical
trailer project has some history of its own. Many doctors, people, and
churches have participated already (see
Trailer History). For me, the
details are still unclear of how it came to First Baptist Church Lewisville.
Currently, the medical trailer is being upgraded
and electrically wired. Additional people have worked on the trailer: Eddie
Johnson (Trinity Southern), James Chapman (Northview Baptist), Robert
Windom, Bill Scruggs, Kevin Tabor, and Mike Frye. See
photos.
